Currents 2011 grew into a citywide international New Media Festival. Partner venues included the Center for Contemporary Arts, the Santa Fe Complex, the New Mexico Museum of Art, Zane Bennett Contemporary Art, Axle Contemporary and the Digital Dome at the Institute for American Indian Art.
70 New Media Artists from around the USA, Europe, South America and Asia joined some of New Mexico's most innovative experimental digital artists in an exhibit of single channel video, animation, video installation, interactive video, web-art, art-gaming, multimedia performance, panels and workshops
Parallel Studios has produced state-of-the-art exhibitions in Santa Fe since 2002. The currents exhibits are always free to the public.
