The great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin has died
February 10, 1837 (January 29 old style) from a wound received in a duel with the Frenchman Georges Dantes.
Pushkin was only 37 years old.
A solemn flower-laying ceremony at the monument to A. S. Pushkin took place in the Lyceum Garden.
Pushkin's famous poem "I erected a monument to myself not made by hands" sounded.
