What is Asset HTTP API?
1. For CRUD operations create-read-update-delete on digital assets.
2. Can update metadata, renditions, comments.
3. Support for Content Fragments.

API Service document - https://[hostname]:[port]/api.json.
Asset service link - https://[hostname]:[server]/api/assets.json

While trying with Postman you will/might get error –
