East Point Lighthouse, Prince Edward Island
Built in 1866-1867 the East Point Lighthouse stands sixty-four feet tall and is divided into four levels plus the lantern room. The lighthouse is open and may be climbed to the top, guided tours are available. The former fog alarm building now serves as a gift shop and cafe.
In early 2010, Friends of Elmira Inc., which had operated the lighthouse on a lease basis with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans since 2002, was given ownership of the property.
