A Walk Through the Annex - Toronto
Recently Time Out Magazine rated The Annex in Toronto as one of the Top 50 neighbourhoods in the World. The Annex is on Bloor St W, between Bathurst and Spadina. This is an area where I used to hang out as a student. I attended many concerts at Lee's Palace, spent many nights dancing at the Dance Cave and enjoying cake at the Future Bakery (now Bistro). It is a lovely neighbourhood - but is it a place worth visiting during your time in Toronto?
If this is your first time visiting the city, I wouldn't say the Annex is a place that should be high on your list. However, if you have been here a few times, and looking for some where new to visit, then check it out. I love that the Future Bistro is how I remembered it. Great food at reasonable prices. It is also worth checking out the bands playing at Lee's Palace or the movies at Hot Docs.
