Ubuntu 15.04 VS Windows 10 Pro : Dota 2 Reborn Benchmark with a GTX 680
This video's focus for the benchmark and review are solely on the performance of Nvidia's driver with the native versions of Dota 2 Reborn on Ubuntu and Windows.
fpx_max was set to 1000 and V-Sync disabled so that no artificial limit was put on the frames that could be achieved per second.
I am using the latest NVIDIA drivers.

The graphical settings options are identical on the Windows version and the Linux version, so each test was reproducible on each system exactly.
GLXOSD and FRAPS were used solely as OSDs (frame counters). I recorded my screen using my Canon SX50HS Powershot camera, so that performance would not be affected.
On both systems, I am running Dota 2 Reborn in it's 64bit version. DX11 is being utilized on Windows and OpenGL 3.3 is being utilized on Ubuntu.
On Ubuntu, Nvidia is set to Performance and the CPU governor is also set to Performance. For Windows, Power Settings is set to High Performance.
Minimum settings here means everything that can be turned OFF or set to LOW was set to OFF or LOW.
Maximum settings means cranking everything ON and to the Highest setting possible, with the exception of V-Sync which was kept off.
My verdict: Valve's Source 2 brings it's A-game to Linux! If they continue on this path, I could easily see future Valve titles being preferable to play on Linux/SteamOS entirely.
I may have made mistakes, and if I have done so, please forgive me and correct me in the comments. I've tried to do this benchmark and review to the best of my knowledge and capabilities.
