White X Rigging Ring sling, redirects, speedlines and negative rigging with the butterfly beast
Shows the many applications you can do with the simple White X-Rigging Ring sling. I think the big news is turning this sling into a negative rigging beast by adding a "beast" ring using the alpine butterfly. Long video, so here are the changing points.
Beginning, basic introduction to this sling, for redirects.
At time 3:49 it goes to vertical speedlines.
At time 21 minute, it goes to Near vertical speedlines.
At time 21:25 it goes to controlled speedlines.
And at 22:50 it goes to Negative rigging. BEHOLD THE BUTTERFLY BEAST !
hope those times are right. Hope this moves smooth enough, sat and edited this together for the past 10 hours nonstop and did not review the whole thing.
Like many others have said; these rings are going to be in every arborists tool bag in the future. There is no doubt in my mind. They are not only cheaper and lighter than an arb block, they work better for most rigging. Some friction at the rigging points is very useful and things run more calmly. Try em !
