Tororo Kombu is Obanai's favorite Food, he doesn't eat much in general so I made a Soup. He also loves tea ^_^
Tororo Kombu are thin and long flakes made by shaving dried kombu softened in vinegar. It’s an umami-rich ingredient.
U can use this ingredient as a garnish for soups, yakisoba, udon, as a wrapper for onigiri, or as a filler in tamagoyaki.
Recipe:
Awase Dashi:
-1000ml water
-20g kombu
-10g bonito flakes
For Dashi put kombu seaweed in water and bring to a boil. Before the water boils, remove the kombu and turn off the heat. Now add Bonito flakes and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Then filter everything through a sieve.
Tororo Kombu Soup:
-10g Tororo Kombu
-1 tbsp soy sauce
-green onions
-sesame seeds
-1 pickled plum for garnish
-salt to taste
Cut the green onions into thin slices. Heat up your dashi in a pot and bring to a boil. Pour your Dashi Soup into a bowl. Add your Tororo Kombu. Add some soy, salt to taste, your green onions and a umeboshi for decoration.
