I've never seen anyone fight for a mid pack position like Alesi. Guy was always racing, no matter what he was in, or how bad or good the car was.
But he always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Joined Ferrari as they went backwards. Joined Benetton as they went backwards, and then saw out his career at Sauber, Prost and Jordan.
So what went wrong for someone so highly rated? Let's have a look. And see if maybe, the way it panned out was probably the best way for it to pan out.
