How to Make a Custom RV Cover
In this tutorial video, we will sew up a long-lasting RV cover. Sure, you can buy a cheap RV cover that lasts one year, maybe two. However, they rarely fit well and must be tensioned with straps because they are typically way oversized to fit a number of rigs. We will make our RV cover to an exacting fit — not too tight, but not too loose — so as not to cause damage to the fabric if it is left to flap around in the wind. The Sailrite fabric we chose will last for many seasons, possibly up to 15 years. The project is rather easy but does take a lot of time. For most DIYers it may take up to five days of solid work, but it is well worth the effort to get a great-fitting cover that is not made from cheap, low-quality fabric.
