In this video I will make deadly potassium cyanide (KCN). Potassium cyanide is a highly toxic substance that despite its toxicity as a potent poision is a very important reagent in organic synthesis. I will make the cyanide using potassium ferrocyanide that is thermally decomposed to generate potassium cyanide. This video is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Do NOT try this at home.
