You really only need to do these 7 things to see incredible results: calorie deficit, get enough protein, eat a healthy diet, stay active, do progressive resistance training, have good sleep, and manage your stress. The issue is that most people don’t do those things properly or consistently over a long period of time.

It’s their macros, or what form of cardio they do, or which training split they use. It’s something much more important than that.
