A question I always get asked is what inspires my montages and the answer is quite a strange one.
Visuals usually play the biggest part for content creators when it comes to putting together a piece, however, for me, it has never been the visuals.
It is the MUSIC that inspires my pieces.. I always feel that the mood should reflect through the music because when we hear and see something that simultaneously come together well, it’s a better experience! The outcome to creating work this way is like an organised chaos.. it doesn’t really make much sense but that’s what I love about it!
This rendition of this song, made me want to use shots with rain and water initially, but as I went on, my vision changed and I wanted the pain from the singers voice to also play a part.
These are a collection of random shots from a few years ago that wouldn’t generally be used together but with this song, it looks somewhat planned!
That’s the magic of creating visuals that are a reflection of the music as opposed to the other way round!
