First of all, if your Instagram feed has changed to a vertical fullscreen view, there's no need to panic just yet, as you are in a TEST. Instagram is still testing out the new changes intended for the app, and some users have got a first look at what the app might evolve into.
Head of Instagram, Mosseri responded to criticism from creators and celebrities by saying a lot is still being experimented.
For those who have been an Instagram user for 5+ years, you’ll know that these changes to the algorithm and features is nothing new. Change is uncomfortable, but that’s what pushes creators out of their comfort zone and evolve their content.
A petition may not help change a big tech company’s mind, but creators (big or small) can use this opportunity to evolve.
