Live streaming Pico 4 to Youtube solution, no PC! HDMI capture into phone, first live test result
Very quick test of an idea I have for live streaming from Pico 4 standalone to youtube live with no pc.
using a usb C to HDMI cable from the headset (pico supports video out over type C)
then into a HDMI capture card (ebay special- they are everywhere for under £10, mine has type c usb connection)
then into my android phone, using USB CAMERA Pro application.
then pushing the feed to youtube from within app ( you need stream key and URL from youtube live)
audio from headset is perfectly synced with video and does not have any delay, unlike some wireless casting situations and the USB CAMERA app has an option to use your phones microphone and mix with the captured audio feed, allowing voice.
the idea here is to create a solution that you can stream without having the wire to your PC or adding load to the headset by casting.
this is direct to youtube, you could also use the USB CAMERA pro application to send IP camera feed, take that and input into OBS on PC, but I am just creating a proof of concept here, so far so good.
