Immerse & Connect #4: Behind the Scenes with the Local and Community Engagement Committee
🎥 The "Immerse & Connect" video series is back with a brand-new episode! Today, we're highlighting Jamaica Del Mar and Jameson D. Lopez (Quechan), co-chairs for the Local Community and Engagement Committee (LCEC) at #ASHE2023.
With the committee's contributions, there are multiple opportunities to learn about Minneapolis's indigenous cultures through place and time. The 2023 Syllabus, available at ashe.ws/mspsyllabus, is a fantastic resource providing rich context about the Minneapolis area.
The LCEC will also present numerous on-site sessions during the conference and showcase the "Why Treaties Matter" exhibit—a nationally recognized, award-winning collaboration with the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian.
