In this video I walk you through the OBS settings that allow me to record 1080p60 gameplay without any impact to my games. No stream box/computer or capture card required. Recording and gaming happens on the same system with no noticeable impact on the games i'm playing.
I spent quite a bit of time tweaking OBS to record gameplay that was smooth, didn't cause lag or stuttering in game and also was high quality when recording. I outline the settings that I have that make this possible. Depending on your system you may need to slightly tweak these settings but in general they should work with minimal issues.
