"Guma (Rubber) was the nickname of a local hobo from Stalowa street in Praga district of Warsaw, considered by many as a no-go area.
Paweł Althamer together with the local street kids and a group of street workers (Grupa Pedagogiki i Animacji Społecznej) brought up an idea of erecting a monument to Guma - it is cast in rubber and it swings, just as Guma himself did.
He's back where he belonged - in front of a liquor shop on Stalowa".
