Whether you're using a MacBook Air M2 or any other Mac with an ARM chip, this step-by-step guide will help you set up a smooth and responsive Windows 11 environment, complete with USB support and access to your Mac’s storage.
Commands Used:
To disable internet services during setup, press FN + Shift + F10 to open the Command Prompt: oobe\bypassnro

Setting Up UTM:
Open UTM and click the “+” icon to create a new virtual machine.
Choose “Virtualize” since we’re using the ARM version of Windows 11.
Select “Windows” as the operating system.
Check the options for “Import VHDX image” and “Install drive and SPICE tools.”
Configuring the Virtual Machine:
Select the downloaded Windows package.
Allocate at least 2 GB of RAM (I recommend 3 GB for better performance).
Optional: Set up shared storage to access Mac files within Windows.
Finalizing Installation:
Save your settings and wait for the virtual machine to be created.
Launch the machine and proceed with the Windows 11 setup.
Use the command provided above to bypass the internet requirement during setup.
Post-Installation Tweaks:
Install the Guest Tools from the UTM CD drive to fix any display or aspect ratio issues.
