Sometimes, you need to put some dummy text into Word. You could go online to search for some copyright-free or Lorem Ipsum, but all that isn't necessary. In this video, I'll show you how to generate this text in Microsoft Word with a simple command.
Just put the cursor where you want the text, and type "=lorem()" (with no spaces) and hit "enter". The command is replaced by the lorem ipsum text.
However, it has to be at the start of a new line; otherwise, it doesn't work.
If you want English words, you can type "=rand()" instead of "=lorem()". The text is taken from Word's help files. But be warned, it's the same text every time.
By default, these commands insert five paragraphs of three sentences each.
To change this, within the parentheses, add the number of paragraphs you want, a comma, and then the number of sentences you want in each paragraph.
For example, "=lorem(1,5)" will give you one paragraph of five sentences, and "=lorem(5,1)" will give you five paragraphs of one sentence each.
