Kings of the Beach - C64 Music - Rob Hubbard
[MUSIC ONLY - NO GAMEPLAY]
Until the time of recording, I had never played Kings of the Beach. To be honest, until I had the chance to assist with the proof-reading of the excellent Rob Hubbard Softography Book "Master of Magic" - I didn't even know it existed, let alone that Rob composed the music for the game.
Clued-up persons may recall another volleyball game that Rob did the music for "Bump Set Spike" a great little budget game, with two music tracks one for each of the loadable playing surfaces: beach, or street. These tracks, as far as I am concerned, are also brilliant.
The gameplay of KotB, for me - is less fun and playable that BSS, but still - that loading tune is just such a feel good thang - I have put together a repeated 10 minute play of it, as it loops joyously, uplifting whatever task you IRL might be doing.
