I accidentally met a friend who has been involved in music for many years, and we're discussed the creative travails of independent little-known artists. The conversation turned out to be very insightful, and one of my friend’s theses in answer to my question about why he hasn’t been writing music for a long time was the phrase “something's broken inside.” I encouraged him to abandon his usual approaches to composing and recording and try something new. That evening, I took my own advice and recorded the keyboard part in one take, without being tied to the structure. Synthesizers and rhythmic fills appeared by themselves, I simply selflessly recorded all my actions. The final idea was to convey the feeling of controlled chaos, which is somehow present in the life of any artist.
