Are Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls Connected?
Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls are both incredible pieces of media that have created massive fanbases, which in turn started crafting theories that connect the two shows together. There are multiple easter eggs scattered throughout the shows that might hint towards their universes actually being connected.
During a scene in Rick and Morty where there is a giant group of portals, a pen, a notepad and a mug come flying out of one of said portals. Those are the same exact objects Grunkle Stan loses when the portal consumes them back in season 1. There is also a small easter egg where we see Bill Cipher on a screen in the background in the second season of Rick and Morty.
So are we ever going to see Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls collaborate? Most likely not, as they are on completely different networks. However, Gravity Falls showrunner Alex Hirsch and Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland are good friends and likely created those easter eggs together.
