PLEASE be careful if you try the fishing rod shot - I actually damaged my lens attempting this shot at first and had to get it replaced. Make sure you pad the floor with a soft cloth that won’t scratch the lens, and provides a soft landing for the camera. Otherwise you might damage your lens like I did 😬
I tried lots of different rigs - using a long pole, using a toilet paper roll, just straight up dropping the camera, but none of them worked because the fall wasn’t controlled enough. A fishing rod worked the best because it lets you control the speed that the camera drops. Only thing is the camera rotates while descending, which is why I used a 360 camera (insta360 ONE R) so it’s capturing in every direction and then I stabilize to one direction in post
