There was something about the sound of a tavern at night that I loved. The people, the laughter -- everything. And when you were in one for hours on end, you started to know everyone there like they were your family. You knew their names, what drinks they liked, and even some gossip about them!
"Hey!" A ruddy-faced man with dark hair slurred as he stumbled up to me while I was waiting for my drink by the bar. "How's it going?"
He looked familiar but I couldn't place him...maybe because his face had been smashed into so many broken glasses over the years that he didn't have an honest expression left--at least not one that went unnoticed by patrons who saw his face often.
"I'm good," I responded curtly with a raised eyebrow as my hand went into my pocket to find my coin purse. "Just waiting for a drink.".........finish the story however you like
This is a great ambience for those of us who love the medieval times. The sounds will make you feel like you're in a bar or tavern from days gone by. sit back and relax, there is cold beer and warm food!
