There are several very cool things about the spirals connected to the Golden Ratio, Divine Proportion, Phi. More than the math and beauty in the geometry these spirals also describe the way nature grows, but more importantly this geometry also explains a lot about how nature heals itself. The theory is wonderful but in nature things don't work the way they do on a piece of paper or computer screen, in natue there is no undo key or eraser to fix mistakes. However in nature things happen that interrupt the ideal and nature needs to deal with these events....and nature does, and the simple rules of growth as best expressed by the spiral that grows following the elegant rules of the Fibonacci sequence is a beautiful system of nature healing itself in the face of disasters.
