Building an extension with Trusted Language Extensions for PostgreSQL- AWS Virtual Workshop
PostgreSQL’s extensible architecture is one of its superpowers, allowing people to plug in additional capabilities to meet their needs. However, building those extensions and deploying them to production is complex and can lead to instability issues for the first-time extension developer. The open-source project Trusted Language Extensions for PostgreSQL provides a new programming framework and runtime model for extensions to PostgreSQL where developers can add extensions to their database with simple SQL commands similar to PL/pgSQL and PL/Perl extensions. In this session, dig into the architecture of Trusted Language Extensions for PostgreSQL and learn how to safely add new capabilities to PostgreSQL.
