Save Kaidan or Ashley? Mass Effect 1 - Should I Save Kaidan or Ashley or Can I Save Both?
You can NOT save both Kaidan and Ashley - you will have to make this very tough choice. The structural outcome of the game will not change - you will not be taking a 'darker path' or changing the results of future missions with this choice - but you will have a very different experience - just as you will be depending on the choice you make with Wrex and many other decisions in the game. Both characters are available for romance by the opposing gender Shepard - so if you desire romance you must obviously save that character. I chose to save Kaidan - but that may not be at all relevant to you because this is a very personal and unique decision that you must make alone - just know there is no right or wrong answer.
