Although Linode describes itself as an alternative cloud provider, Dev Mukherjee, CEO of Anomaly Software, feels like the term is irrelevant to him because he views Linode as a partnership that he would not be able to forge with the big four players. He feels that Linode offers continuing support when they are going to market and that is the value proposition. Mukherjee feels that because both Anomaly Software and Linode were built out of cash flow, their values align. When business owners are putting their own money on the market, it is important to feel like you have that alignment and support from a partnership. Mukherjee explains further in this video why he feels Linode has his back when going to market and why that aspect is so important when choosing an infrastructure company to deploy their solutions.
