AGM-62 Walleye II
The AGM-62 Walleye is a television-guided glide bomb which was produced by Martin Marietta and used by the United States Armed Forces from the 1960s-1990s.
the Mk 5 tactical AGM-62 Walleye II, designed as an improvement to the Walleye I due to ineffectiveness to take out large targets like bridges and nicknamed 'Fat Albert'. Had a 2,000 Ib warhead and the ability to replace that with a W72 nuclear warhead.
Although it designated an air-to-ground missile, the Walleye is actually an unpowered glide bomb with a nose-mounted television camera to guide it to the target.
It consists of a guidance section, a fairing assembly, a warhead section, a control section, four wings, four fin adapters, and four fins. The weapon has provision for 30 inch suspension only and is in the 2,000 pound class weapon category.
