relaxdaily N°173: Resilience …calm and peaceful music for your focus, studying, coding, chill, reflect, feel good, healing music playlist, and of course also simply to relax and enjoy. My fifth relaxdaily tune with personally filmed coastal impressions from my last video trip to beautiful Portugal. Views that I was able to capture on a beautiful evening by the sea.
Title: Resilience | Artist: @relaxdaily
A few words on the title:
Resilience. What a huge word. What a complex and wonderful concept. I won’t write a book worth of words about it here - your favorite AI chat bot (prompt e.g.: “what can pull down our individual resilience” or simply “tell me about resilience”) or a good professionally written book on the topic might do a better service to help understand its importance in life, for individuals, communities, organizations, or systems to maintain or regain their well-being despite facing difficult circumstances.
We humans are meant to suffer, right? It’s part of our game. There’s always something going on. A war here, a wildfire, flood or hurricane there, crop failure here, economic, ecological or a personal emotional disaster there. Sometimes we can take it lightly, other times it hits us hard. Sometimes very hard.
Resilience is not a one magic button solution to fix things. It’s not a pill we can buy for a couple bucks and things get shiny again. It’s rather a result, something to be forged over time and adjusted continuously. Something we can think about and develop over time. And it will look very differently for different individuals and situations. For me, after feeling sort of stressed and somehow strange in the past weeks, at some point I simply asked myself: “Michael, what’s going on?” The word “resilience” came to my mind.
“Thank you for the reminder!” I thought, pulled a little book on the topic from my bookshelf and went through about ⅓ of it over a pot of Moroccan mint tea. You know what? Simply reading about factors that can pull down my individual resilience and understanding that I indeed had in the past and still have in the present many such factors in my life, made me understand “Hey, Michael, it’s natural you feel this way. A lot of the things that can bring down resilience apply to me.” And in my case, it was myself who steered my life to where I am now. Simply understanding this helped me to feel better. I could spot at least 2-3 points that I want to work on in the future (like for me personally, my notoriously unrealistic goals while having perfectionist tendencies, holding me back to start the thing I wanna start at all; persistent work-related stress, something I partly should be able to re-design; physical health issues, something I can work on - so all things I should be able to manage. There are people who are much much worse off). I made a couple notes on what I want to work on, what choices might have to be made, and where I simply need some more patience or some different thinking. After this tea-pages-notes session I feel better. And, I got a title for this new tune :) And hey, there’s a new relaxdaily tune at all, finally!
One more note to myself: Michael, it’s just a game. Nothing really matters. You’re here to experience beauty and possibly unfold the beautiful flower that you are. And it's not just you alone. In context with the others. Go, play. Give your best, enjoy the ride, love yourself, love what you do, love those around you, taste what they have to offer. Look at the dangers ahead, use your brain, adjust to circumstances, speak frankly and from your heart, make conscious choices, play your game, but also keep at least one eye on the beauty around you. Life is meant to be beautiful.
That’s from my side.
I really hope you enjoy the calm and peaceful tune.

I believe music can be much more than just pure entertainment. It can be a beautiful, meaningful, tone setting, or inspiring soundtrack that accompanies us through a moment, through the day, or through life.
Many use my recordings and piano music as background music while doing mental or creative work, as music for studying, to achieve better focus, doing homework, as relaxing music, spa, bar, lounge, cafe music, as music for yoga, while meditating or simply to fill their space with light, calm, peaceful and positive music.
Thank you for being here! Shine beautifully!
