Tony Gonzalez on TE vs. WR Pay: "It's RIDICULOUS!"
SI host and former NFL player Brice Butler is joined by Hall of Fame Tight End Tony Gonzalez on behalf of Crown Royal to preview the 2024 NFL season and to discuss the disparity in pay between tight ends and wide receivers in the NFL.
Crown Royal is kicking off NFL season as the league’s official whisky partner in a big way with the launch of the “Royal Rig” – an 18-wheeler that will take NFL tailgating to regal heights from city-to-city.
Throughout the season, the Royal Rig will be showing up in 10 cities nationwide to bring fans exclusive merch, giveaways, and most importantly, to drive generosity. At each stop, fans will be able to participate in Crown Royal’s Purple Bag Project by packing a bag of essentials for military members in exchange for exclusive Crown Royal merch, and best of all, a chance to win a pair of Super Bowl LIX tickets.
The journey begins in Kansas City on September 5th, where NFL Legend Tony Gonzalez will kick off the festivities with a ceremonial toast as the first Super Bowl tickets are given away ahead of the anticipated matchup of the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.
