We positioned a product sample of the MicroShade window at the North-West facing window sill of our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The shading effect of the clever microshade system is clearly seen while maintaining visibility to the outside.
This product is great a shading high angle sun, which is all that we have for North and South facing facades in the tropics. In other words, virtually all the direct sunlight can be blocked, while maintaining what looks like a clean glass facade. The microshades perform a honeycomb shading structure that works really well for window shading, but aesthetically, most architects don't like adding external shading to the window. With MicroShade, the shading has become so small, that it is invisible, and there's now more aesthetics issue. Brilliant!
