I tried the "free" GitHub Copilot so you don't have to
Microsoft has announced that GitHub Copilot is now a free part of VS Code! But is it worth using? How does it compare to other AI code editors such as Cursor and Windsurf? I spent 4-5hr doing various things with it including building an app from scratch and refactoring code. Here is what I found.
