Last summer, a huge pink and purple wind turbine majestically appeared at the iconic Glastonbury festival to power the food truck sector with green energy. And now, it's back.
Meet Gusty Spinfield, Octopus Energy’s 28m tall wind turbine. In February, it headed down south to be set up at Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage in Devon and was put up in just 1 day.
Gusty's living proof that we've got the right technology to build clean, green electricity, quickly. But because of planning and grid restrictions, it can only stay up for a max of 28 days.
We're doing everything we can to change this, campaigning for a wind-filled future. A future where building new wind power is quicker and easier, where people want them and where the grid needs them.
