Scxxx Making Of The Song "Broken Toys"
This video spotlights the recording process of the Southern California Band Scxxx and the song is called "Broken Toys". This Engineer is Jon Mathias who engineered Tom Petty's Damn The Torpedo's, KISS - Dynasty, J. Geils among many others. True 80's sound in his recordings. I attempted to capture the recording cycle of the engineer with the band from start to finish of the song. It does have a 80's tone with a lot of clean guitar and a pop feel. Jon passed away a few years after recording this so this is my tribute to him as a great engineer.
