My Local SEO client is seeing a 156% increase in phone calls to their business due to better keyword rankings in Google. Better keyword rankings mean being found on page one of Google via the map pack in a radius around their location. Mobile users searching can call the business directly, which leads to more customers for my clients.
Some of the ways I achieved a 156% increase in phone calls came from the following.
1) Split out each location on their website as their dedicated page. I also Optimized each location (title tags, header tags, ALT tags, and added semantic phrasing throughout the content)
2) Embedded their Google My Business Map directly into their site and footer. I don't know how big of a local SEO ranking factor this is, but I believe creating a link between a map and a website is vital to ranking better
3) Displayed their business address instead of being a service area only. I needed my client to verify their location via video walkthrough. Initially, they only wanted to be a service area b/c they thought they would rank better.
4) Optimized the Google My Business accounts for their primary service. De-Optimized the GMB listings for services that were not core for their business to make it clear to Google what they should be seen for
5) Tracked their rankings in Local Falcon every week
6) Synced the changes directly into Bing Places for Business. I also updated social media accounts, categories, pictures, and more in Bing. The reason why I mention Bing Places for Business is that it is an entity that Google most likely uses to confirm a business and its address
7) Performed keyword gap analysis in Local Falcon against top competitors
8) Entity building. For this client, they were listed on a few high-quality directories already, which helped them see success early.
