John LeMasney presents an overview of offerings, solutions, paths, problems, and other issues related to the recycling of electronic devices. Lead, mercury, and other hazardous e-waste must stay out of the landfills if we are to avoid a contamination disaster. Meanwhile, it can be very difficult and confusing to get rid of your waste properly. Even if someone accepts the electronics, how can you be sure it's not just getting redirected to a landfill overseas? Where does it all end up? Are there other things you can do with these old tech items? This presentation will hopefully help.
