Gerund or Infinitive: How do I know which one to use?
Which is better? "I like to cook." or "I like cooking." One sentence uses an infinitive and the other uses a gerund. Both gerunds and infinitives can be used as the subject of a sentence, as well as the object of a verb. However, only gerunds can be used as the object of a preposition. This video explains how to decide which to use in a sentence.
