AA End Zone
In 1999, KEZI invited Accordions Anonymous to appear on the local program End Zone, which followed the network's Monday Night Football. (We challenged the Oregon Tuba Ensemble to a musical scrimmage, but they chickened out.) Our point of departure was the Monday Night Football theme, which was Hank William Jr.'s reworking of one of his hits. Having put a bit of work into our version, we decided to keep it in our repertoire for awhile, using a different set of all[-accordion]-purpose lyrics, a sample of which follows. In the sample, words in square brackets indicate the portions most likely to be changed to fit whatever occasion.
Like a mudslide flowing down the Cascade range,
