In the first episode of our three-part tour series, Steve starts at the beginning of a guitar’s journey, taking you down into the Martin sawmill, acclimating room, and subassembly department, where tops, backs, and sides are inspected, matched, and glued, braces are cut, and neck barrels and fingerboards are cut and shaped.
