New York and Chicago brace for Trump’s potential immigration raids
Cities like New York and Chicago are bracing for President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration’s immigration policies.
Officials and rights advocates had said Trump's administration would launch immigration raids in multiple US cities almost as soon as he takes office on Monday, January 20, with Chicago considered a likely first location.
"Anxiety is there. It's not leaving," said Adama Bah, the executive director of Africana New York.
“And I don’t have answers."
