Semi Realistic Shading & Highlighting Tips
In this tutorial we discussSemi Realistic Shading & Highlighting Tips and how to use a greyscale test to check how the contrast of your values look, or in other words, if your darks are dark enough and your lights are light enough creating a nice contrast! We want to avoid our values from looking flat and avoiding this flatness will help your artwork look that much more realistic!
I got a question on my from Lunastryas on Twitch and she asked me “When you do the black and white test, how do you know what looks right?” and it sparked a conversation about how to know if you’re darks and lights of your piece look right and the creation of this video.
