Eve online How To, P.I. - upgrading your command center
TL;DR - basically what i'm doing is increasing the number of extractor heads, after upgrading my command center.
fun fact: the total cost of upgrading your command center is the same if you do it incrementally or all at once.
fun fact: upgrading your links is not something i bother with, since every colony i've set up like this never went over capacity on links. although i have found out that upgrading links lowers cooldown on expediting resources...problem is it costs extra power (almost double for upgrading once) and i'm happy with ~6.5pwr/km (that's irrespective of planet radius)
a full silo expedited down a link path will incur exactly 8hrs of cooldown for a level 1 link
fun fact: strictly speaking, jumping from level4 to level6 command center gives you 7 extra extractor heads to play with (if you change nothing else)...if you had surplus power you might get 8 heads in.
going from level4 to level5 can give you up to 4 extra extractor heads if you can eke out a bit more pwr from link length savings (to a total of 11 extractor heads)
fun fact: even if you eliminated all links on a colony with 2 ECUs, 1 silo, 4 basics, 1 adv., and a launch pad you'd only be able to get 11 extractor heads with level5 CC - because you'd be short 100 pwr to get a twelfth head. so that means at minimum you have 450pwr for links (just under 3000km.)
For a planet with radius of 2160km (really small) that translates to 21.5% of the circumference of that planet size.
un-fun facts: planet "density" has no relationship to any useful information like "resource density" & neither has "radius"...which is what i expected out of CCP from the very beginning of this whole "P.I." content creation. (simple; for them to code.)
another fun fact: you don't need to connect the command center to your colony at all - it could be on the opposite side of the planet. now, there is a caveat to that because i believe you can "covertly" launch a packet into space from your CC that's in a different location than the POCO (it's retarded because there's only 500m³ space in the CC)

The other stupid thing about it is that it's NOT covert. it's the exact opposite of covert because not only can others see it on Dscan they can also right click that and actually literally warp to it.
