Evil Emma LeDoux & the Trunk Murder of Hubby in Stockton
Emma LeDoux will go down in Stockton history as one of the most villainous women who was known for scamming men of their money and marrying men and taking at least two of them out for life insurance. Husband number 2, Albert McVicker, was estranged from Emma while she married Eugene LeDoux. She didn't bother to divorce Albert but decided to take him out in a wicked plot.
Jeff takes this episode of History Hunters to the train station where this explosive story broke out on March 24, 1906, the California House where the homicide took place and show you the trunk she used to store his body. The trunk is in the Haggin Museum which is also where many numerous Yosemite paintings of Alfred Bierstadt are on display.
The episode ends at the Stockton Rural Cemetery to visit the grave of San Joaquin Sheriff Walter "Frank" Sibley who arrested Emma two days after the discovery of the body in the trunk.
