The Seamstress is the love story between two women, a seamstress, Yanlin and her first love Mei.
Mei, a reluctant bride to be, is forced into an arranged marriage by her aristocratic parents against her will, powerless to rebuff, she requests her bridal gown to be made by the village seamstress.
Unaware that she was none other than the secret lover of their daughter, her parents saw no inconvenient in commissioning Yanlin.
Unable to decline the job without ruining her family business reputation, Yanlin knows she's giving her first and only love to another and as cruel as it is to her, making the dress would be the reason they will be for one more time reunited together and the reason they will be then kept apart forever.
