In this sound design tutorial I synthesize different layers for a futuristic/ sci-fi weapon with the free synthesizer Vital.
After bouncing the layers to audio, they are further manipulated and edited to create the final sound.

In this video I'm only using Vital and Ableton stock plugins. Most of this should be reproducible in other DAW's as well.
