After the dramatic events of the first film, Vanessa is forced to leave her ordinary life behind and go into hiding from the government, which seeks to use her knowledge of dragons for its own purposes. She chooses to live in a remote area, trying to leave her dangerous past behind. But her peace is short-lived — a group of researchers studying dragons finds her. They convince Vanessa that her expertise is crucial to understanding a new, even more dangerous threat looming over humanity.
The researchers inform Vanessa that the dragons, which once lived in isolation in the mountains, have become more aggressive and dangerous due to ecological imbalance. Their unstable condition threatens not only humans but the very existence of the dragons themselves. Realizing that she may be the only one capable of understanding and dealing with this new threat, Vanessa agrees to return to the mountains despite her fears and the danger.
Deep in the wilderness, Vanessa and the team of researchers encounter new, even more ferocious dragons. Struggling to survive, they uncover an ancient secret that could change the fate of both humans and dragons. Vanessa faces a choice — to find a way to maintain balance between the two worlds or witness their destruction.
