Distributed Tracing is the core part of the modern observability stack. In this talk, I will Introduce the audience to Distributed Tracing, How it works?, where they can use Distributed Tracing, and ways to use TraceQL to get insights from Traces. I will also talk about Tempo, the motivation behind building Tempo, and Its Architecture, how we build TraceQL, and finish off with a demo to showcase TraceQL. - Tempo is an open source, high volume, minimal dependency distributed tracing backend - TraceQL is a new query language in Tempo 2.0, designed specifically to query trace data.
