Hey there, movie lovers! Here’s my top 10 list of my favorite villains (humans only) from 90s movies, mainly focused on ACTION MOVIES and few thrillers. The video contains many memorable scenes of each villain. I had a lot of fun re-watching all these 90s gems. Feel free to leave a comment with your favorite 90s villains, give the video a like and subscribe if you are interested in this type of content. Cheers!
Here is my other top list with 80s action movies villains:

The list is subjective, villains picked according to my „likings”. When choosing my favourite villains I was taking some factors into consideration, such as intimidation, intelligence, aggressiveness, most memorable moments and lines, cheesiness. I included only humans in this list as I'll definitely want to create a "monsters only" list one day.
Here is the list in the descending order:
10. Shang Tsung (Mortal Kombat, 1995), played by Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa. What a great choice for the role of the famous MK sorcerer. Great performance, Cary had really the feel for that role.
9. Emil Fouchon (Hard Target, 1993), played by Lance Henriksen. I like how Fouchon is portrayed as a calm and firm bad guy at the beginning but then he just goes crazy when things are not going his way.
8. William Strannix (Under Siege, 1992), played by Tommy Lee Jones. I was also considering Commander Krill played by Gary Busey here, but the main baddie is Strannix. Cool nutso with some comedic parts.
7. John Doe (Se7en, 1995), played by Kevin Spacy. I wish Spacy’s character had much more screen time, he would definitely be much higher on this list. John is calm, intelligent but also violent when needed.
6. Simon Peter Gruber (Die Hard 3, 1995), played by Jeremy Irons. Hans Gruber’s brother, playing around with our good buddie, John McClane. Clever, patient, many memorables scenes.
5. Castor Troy (Face/Off, 1997), played by Nicolas Cage & John Travolta. I included scenes from both Cage and Travolta as they play the same character here. Troy is a total maniac here: ruthless, crazy and totally unpredictable. Such a great villain.
4. Screwface (Marked For Death, 1990), played by Basil Wallace. It is the second Steven Seagal movie on this list and once again it offers such an iconic villain. This time we have a mixture of voodoo magic, Jamaican culture and many memorable scenes and quotes.
3. Simon Phoenix (Demolition Man, 1993), played by Wesley Snipes. Although Phoenix is a bad guy here, violent and all but he also have that swag, man! He’s one of those likable and cool villains.
2. Hannibal Lecter (The Silence of the Lambs, 1991), played by Anthony Hopkins. Here is one of the non-action movie (although there’s still some action, but it’s not that typical 90s action movie) with one of the most iconic villains not only from the 90s movies, but overall. Dr. Lecter is intelligent and clever and sometimes it only takes his stare to intimidate you and give you goosebumps. Brilliant performance by Hopkins.
1. Norman Stansfield (Léon: The Professional, 1994), played by Gary Oldman. Villains played by Oldman are all very well-known, but for me this is his best villain performance of all. A mixture of aggressiveness, crazyness and unpredictability. Everyone should have this villain in their top lists. EVERYOOOONE!
My honourable mentions:
Neil McCauley (Heat, 1995), played by Rober De Niro
General M. Bison (Street Fighter, 1994), played by Raul Julia
Moon (Double Impact, 1991), played by Bolo Yeung
Brakus (Best of the Best 2, 1993), played by Ralf Moeller
Hope you had fun watching my video. Feel free to leave a comment with your top picks for 90s movie villans and/or ideas for next videos. Have a great day!
